Whereas Elements of Media is structured to be more like a cross between learning a foreign language and a math class, Elements of Media 2 is a graduate-level project-based studio elective designed to support the development and production of ambitious, long-term, self-directed dynamic media projects. These often are or become case studies for your theses. Course content will focus on the conceptual and technical development of complex ideas, user testing and design strategies for digital media interactions, working collaboratively, and documenting work. You will build on skills developed in Elements of Media (programming with Arduino, Processing or P5.js, Max 7, and/or PureData) or equivalent previous study, and will work to become experts in the tools required to execute your ideas. Prerequisite: Elements of Media or permission of instructor.
