Native America Today is a discussion-based seminar. Your semester-long assignment is called the Artist Project - a focused and creative exploration of selected works by one Native American or First Nations artist. The goal of your Artist Project is to investigate how the artist you have chosen asserts their individuality within their personal history, and within the context of larger political and social issues of importance to Indigenous people, communities, and Nations in the United States, Canada and around the world in the 21st century.
